My Version of the television show “24″
September 13, 2007The following takes place on Monday, Septemer 10th from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
12:00-1:00 a.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork
1:00-2:00 a.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork
2:00-3:00 a.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork
3:00-4:00 a.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork
4:00-5:00 a.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork
5:00-6:00 a.m. - Watched the clock
6:00-7:00 a.m. - Actually slept
7:00-8:00 a.m. - Still sleeping
8:00-9:00 a.m. - Woke the boys up, got them ready for school, showered, made breakfast, made lunches, scooted BB out the door for school with his friend in tow.
9:00-10:00 a.m. - Drove LB to the pediatrician in Nampa, appt at 9:30. Saw the doctor. Found out LB has acid reflux disease and needs to take medicine for it. (Just like mom and BB)
10:00-11:00 a.m. - Got release forms for LB for school from doctor’s office, took LB to McD’s for hashbrowns, went to Fred Meyer’s to have security tag removed from shoes I bought on my trip to Tacoma that they left on accidentally, went to Big 5 to return LB’s football pants that were too big, had to keep them because they were the only size left in the store, bought football socks for both boys.
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Drove back to Caldwell to take LB to school, went in to the office, signed him in and gave them release from doctor. Made 580 copies of PTO poster contest forms I did last night, counted out copies for each classroom and delivered to teachers.
12:00-1:00 p.m. - Lisa met me at school with John and called up mom to go to CostCo. Stopped at Maverick for gas and diet coke. Followed mom to boy’s school to leave her car there, we all went to CostCo together. Had famous "CostCo lunch" (hot dogs and diet coke) and then went shopping.
1:00-2:00 p.m. - Shopping at CostCo. Also picked up CostCo donation for the school open house.
2:00-3:00 p.m. - Loaded everything in car, dropped mom and Lisa back off at the school to their cars. Went to Home Federal to make PTO popcorn money deposit. Waited to get online account set up. Also waited while they counted out $200 in quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.
3:00-4:00 p.m. -Went to Walgreen’s to pick up my prescriptions and get some Rx items I needed. Excited because I found 3 pairs of good pantyhose in the clearance bin for .69. (Like I’ll ever wear them! LOL) Went to post office. Went to Pennywise Drugs to pick up LB’s prescription. They hadn’t filled it. Medicaid won’t cover it, so they didn’t fill it. The drug is now sold over the counter at a whopping $28.00. I can’t afford it.
4:00-5:00 p.m. - So, they called the doctor’s office (took over 45 minutes to do this) and she changed it to a liquid form of the medication. Medicaid will cover that. Cost of the liquid prescription? $238.00. . .explain the logic to me. Your government hard at work spending your tax dollars!
5:00-6:00 p.m. - Rushed home, unloaded the car, made dinner real quick for the kids, got BB ready for football practice, ran to Simplot Stadium to meet the director of the football program to exchange BB’s pants, pads, and shoulder pads since they gave him some that were about two sizes too small.
6:00-7:00 p.m. - Rushed back over to the high school to get BB to practice by 6:00. Sat and watched BB at football practice. He is playing starting center. He is excited!
7:00-8:00 p.m. - Continued to watch BB practice football. Visited with Jennifer about things that need to be done for PTO.
8:00-9:00 p.m. - Came home, made the boys shower, made bedtime snacks, helped with unfinished homework. Made LB take his first dose of medicine. LB is not amused, it is mint flavored.
9:00-10:00 p.m. - Worked on PTO paperwork. Cut out insoles for my new tennis shoes. Cut them way too small. Threw away $10.00 memory foam insoles. Very mad, especially since I stayed within the dotted lines showing the sizes!
10:00-11:00 p.m. - Finally got the boys to sleep. Kept working on the PTO books, balancing checkbook, organizing receipts.
11:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. - Lisa came over to visit, watched t.v. Finally went to bed around 6:00 a.m. again, but hey, that’s another episode!

)! It was so easy . . . I made a second batch. All in all I ended up with about two dozen jars of jam. That might last the boys a month or two. I’ve always made strawberry freezer jam in the past but they tasted some canned jam a friend made and begged me to make them some.
